Characteristics:

– Corrugated, formable PLT-CSST stainless steel tubing with protective yellow coating for gas transport, compliant with UNI EN 15266:2007 – UNI/TS 11340 standards.
The PLT-CSST (corrugated stainless steel tubing) covered uniroll system is certified and conforms to European standard UNI EN 15266:2007 for all its components, requiring no intervention from the installer for the formation of the sealing elements (pressing), as required by section 3.2 of the reference standard. It is also compliant with the technical specification UNI/TS 11340 related to the installation of CSST tubes, where section 4.3.4 requires that the seal must be guaranteed metal to metal. The covered CSST tubes are suitable for domestic and similar applications, for users with a single nominal thermal output not exceeding 35kW, using first family (city gas), second family (natural gas: methane), and third family (LPG) gases. In the bare version, the tubes are suitable for the transport of potable water, in compliance with decree no. 174 of 06/04/2004.
Assembly Instructions Valid for Both Covered and Bare Tubes:
– Cut to the desired length and remove about 2.5 cm of protective sheath from both ends if present.
– Insert the appropriate nut and place the pre-formed gasket on the second corrugation of the corrugated tube. Bring the nut into contact with the pre-formed gasket, and insert the metal gasket.
– Connect to the system or to a nipple with a flat seat and tighten so that the corrugated tube’s pressing deformation creates a seal between the two rings.
– Use the provided adhesive tape, resistant up to 105°C, to seal the metal parts. To prevent corrosion and damage, form a double layer of the tape.
Certifications:
The covered uniroll tube system is certified and conforms to the UNI EN 15266:2007 standard, which establishes all necessary requirements for certification: design, materials, inspections, manufacturing, marking. It is important to note that the entire system is compliant with the referenced standard, particularly section 3.2, which specifies: flexible tubes with their related components obtained or specified by a manufacturing source that has responsibility for design and performance for the kit, with performance guaranteed without manual intervention by the operator in forming the sealing elements, which is why uniroll is self-pressing. The UNI EN 15266 standard also requires the manufacturer to have continuous control over the entire production process to ensure consistent product quality and is certified with the ISO:9001 quality system. In the bare version, the tubes are suitable for the transport of potable water, in compliance with decree no. 174 of 06/04/2004. Different regulations for design, installation, testing, and maintenance of domestic and similar gas systems must be followed to ensure safety for people, animals, and property, and protection of the environment, by competent personnel with appropriate knowledge and experience. For systems made with the CSST uniroll tube system, the main reference standards are:
– UNI EN 15266:2007 is the product standard, which sets parameters for design, production, and certification of the entire CSST tube system.
– UNI/TS 11340.2009 is the installation standard, which, when applied in accordance with UNI 7129 and UNI 7131 standards, establishes installation and usage methods for CSST tube systems.
At the end of the work, the installing company must issue a declaration of conformity for the systems, citing the two previously mentioned standards, after performing all checks required by current regulations. The covered gas tubes of the uniroll system can be installed in various ways: exposed, buried, in wall chases, in ducts or niches, both indoors and outdoors in single or multi-family buildings, following all criteria, recommendations, and limitations contained in the UNI/TS 11340 technical specification, the general gas installation standards UNI 7129 and UNI 7131, and any local regulations.
